Jared Weaver, Chief Construction Officer.

Jared was one of the first RPOR staff members. He has been working with RPOR since the start, back in 2019.

Q: What type of work did you do before joining the RPOR team?

A: I am currently a Captain on the Kansas City Missouri Fire Department, where I’ve worked for over 25 years.

Q: Explain what your role is here at RPOR and what a typical day looks like on the job:

A: I handle all of the building construction & maintenance. A typical day can include everything from demolition and construction of one of our building spaces, coordinating contractors, maintenance and upkeep of RPOR properties, and interacting with the girls on a daily basis.

Q: What about our mission resonates with you and why?

A: I like helping to provide a building for the ladies that is comfortable and a safe place for them to come in and get resources.

Q: What do you hope to accomplish (or learn) during your time here at RPOR?

A: I look forward to getting our Crisis Shelter (The Mike Daniels Home) open so that we can better serve women who are ready to start the process of building a new life without exploitation.

Q: What goals do you have for your role at RPOR?

A: Get the buildings all completed on Independence Ave, and await our new projects!

Q: What are you looking forward to the most while working here?

A: I look forward to having a growing group of survivors that have been able to begin a new life with the many resources available through RPOR.

Q: What do you like to do outside of work?

A: Spend time with friends and family, and TRAVEL!

A: It’s never dull, never the same, and rewarding.
